We had a great class last Wednesday. The microteaching lessons in our group were fun, interesting. I really enjoyed what I learned from my classmates. Our lessons ranged from making hairclip for kids to technique to stress release and what you can do with the chopsticks wrapper while you are waiting for the foods in restaurants What a day of learning !
Maria started first with her lesson about making a hairclip with small colorful plastic beans. I don’t know exactly how to call them but they had round shape, colorful, sparkling. I hoped you knew what they were :-)) With a small piece of threat and a few colorful round beans, in 5 minutes I could make a nice, beautiful hairclip for my kid or myself! (since my hair is long enough to use it :-))) Then we moved on to Carlie. I never knew what I could do with the chopstick wrapper until Carlie showed what I could do with them. Now I know that I can fold the wrapper into a paper cube and lean my chopstick on it, so I can keep my chopstick clean, avoid touching anything around before food arrive and I can enjoy our food ! How clever it is ! And then Carlie finished her lesson by a trick: round up the chopstick wrapper, started from the sealed end, kept the opened end in her mouth and blew it! You can surprise your friends sitting next to you ! Then we moved to Raman with her lesson about Stress Release. Raman showed us how to do a massage with our hands. It was a little bit difficult at first because we weren’t professional ! But eventually we got it! And then we practiced her lesson among our group. I even gave Susan a quick massage. I hoped she liked it. Thanks Raman. My wife will love it !
Originally, I planed my microteaching lesson about making Spring Roll. But I didn’t bring anything material for my lesson. So I changed my lesson to Stress Release, I had a few techniques to show as well. Thanks Raman! For giving me the idea for my microteaching lesson. My technique was about using 3 fingers, pressing on 3 particular spots on the face, stretched the arms and kept them straight for about 5 minutes. This technique could help us to refresh our energy after one long day of studying or working. We can practice anywhere, anytime. It is very convenient and required nothing! I hoped my lesson going well. My group seemed to like it. I had nice feedbacks from my group ..or my friends were nice to me ! I weren't sure at that moment!
